Easy Summer Salads, Lighter Foods For A Brighter Summer

What would a good cookout be without some fantastic baked beans? But when it's hot outside, the last thing you want to do is turn on that oven and heat up the whole house. Instead of baking those beans, cook them in a skillet on top of the stove or even on the gas grill.

Raw celery can be added to tuna fish, Waldorf, or mccormick slow cooker mediterranean chicken. Stick a stock of raw celery into a tomato-based health drink. Use it to mix the drink and eat it as a crunchy and healthy snack.

Overall, for chicken wings, the taste was pretty good. The outside breading was crunchy and flavorful, while the inside was moist and tender. I've seen two flavors of these Banquet chicken wings- Honey BBQ and the Hot and Spicy. These were a bit spicy, but I wouldn't describe them as being very "hot." In fact, these are pretty tame in the "Light Up My Mouth" category.

Pulse the thyme, parsley, parmesan, garlic, and walnuts in a food processor until the mixture is well combined. Add the olive oil gradually until the pesto is smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Vegan tofu entree: Slice a pound of extra firm herbed or plain tofu into quarter inch thick slices. Slice a tomato and a red onion very thinly. Carefully dip tofu 'sandwich' into oil mediterranean chicken parma ham then in cracker crumbs or bread crumbs. You can also simply dredge with oil and crumbs if you wish. Grill until breaded tofu is golden brown.
